How to Choose ISP?

Frequently Asked Questions

High Speed Satellite Broadband

You can have Internet access not only through dial-up, DSL, or cable connection; another way for you to get connected to the Internet would be through satellite broadband services.

Satellite broadband technology employs satellite dish network for data communication and provides speeds that is almost similar to other broadband technologies.

Satellite works by sending commands from users to a satellite in the orbit which is many thousand miles away . From there, the signal travels back thousand miles to earth directly to the satellite provider and routed to the internet. When the data is exchanged, it then travels back a thousand miles back to the satellite and when it receives the data, the information then travels back again to earth a thousand miles, now directly back to the user. Internet connection via satellite broadband can produce speeds up to 2 Mbit/s (downstream) and 1 Mbit/s (upstream).

Why choose Satellite Broadband?

The reality is that DSL service or cable connectivity is not meant for all people, most especially in the rural areas and remote places. This is because in order to pass DSL eligibility requirements, the customer should be within 18,000 feet from the phone company; in terms of cable Internet access, they do not cover all cities or areas so the only way for people to get broadband Internet access would be through satellite broadband. Compared to dial-up you can still get a significantly higher speed and enjoy browsing web pages comfortably as it is faster by more than 35 times.
